Apple Today - 08/11/2015 (AAPL)
seymour_greenz August 11th 2015 09:31:05 AMGood Morning,
Whoa, NASDAQ Futures are down 28 with -31 Fair Value, Dow Futures are deep in the red, down 173. China devaluates yuan, triggering global concerns and pressure on markets. Google announced an "Alphabet" restructuring (see below) and the stock is up over 6%, no doubt more of Porat's wizardry. Greek deal agreed to, sort of. U.S. productivity rebounds, but trend remains weak.
AAPL rallied back up yesterday, gaining nearly 4% and peaking at 119.99 in afternoon trading. Most of the optimism can be attributed to the buzz around a new product event in September and a record-breaking App Store number of 1.7 billion dollars released for July.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened lower on low volume, quickly reaching a peak of 119.49 at 4:18am and then began a continuous slide down in conjunction with Futures with brief support at 118.97 at 7:14am on low to moderate volume, then continuing a fast sharp drop and bottoming at 117.75 at 8:16am on moderate to high volume before bouncing back towards 118. AAPL is currently near the pre-market low and down 2.07 at 117.65.
