Apple Today 3/31/2017 OPEX EOQ (AAPL)

S&P Futures are down 2 with -2 Fair Value, NASDAQ Futures are down 1 with -4 Fair Value and Dow Futures are down 7 on this final day of March, ending the 1st quarter of 2017 on a high note. Year to date, the Dow is up 4.9%, the S&P is up 5.8% and the Nasdaq is in the lead, up 9.9%, all hitting their highest levels ever in the past few weeks. Techwise, BlackBerry Ltd. (BBRY) is up nearly 8.5% on Q4 results and Bitcoin remains in the 1050-area as prices seem to stabilize.
This morning's Economic Calendar includes: Personal Income and Outlays, Chicago PMI, Consumer Sentiment and Fed's Kashkari speech followed by Baker-Hughes Rig Count this afternoon and Fed's Bullard: US Monetary and Economic Policy tonight.
The earnings winner is: BlackBerry Ltd. (BBRY), up nearly 8.5%.
Futures were down in early morning, hit lows shortly before 2:30am and bounced back after 7:30am and while still negative are near the highs as we approach the open.
Asian markets ended mostly down. China went up 0.38%, Hong Kong went down 0.78% and Japan dropped 0.81%. European markets are also mostly down. The UK is down 0.38%, Germany is up 0.03% and France is down 0.03%.
Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is down 0.24%, natural gas is up 1.41% and gold is down 0.40%. Unleaded gas is down 0.26% and heating oil is down 0.10%. Metals are down. Meats are mixed. Cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans are up while cocoa and coffee are down.

BlackBerry Ltd. (BBRY) reported a Q4 loss with adjusted earnings of 2 cents per share that beat expectations and is up nearly 8.5% in pre-market.

AAPL was in choppy waters below 144 yesterday, ending down 0.13% on low volume. AAPL opened up at 144.19 to high volume and quickly set an intra-day high of 144.50 at 9:32am on strong volume before dipping at noontime to an intra-day low of 143.50 at 12:40pm on moderate volume. AAPL bounced back above 144 in early afternoon on low volume and settled in the upper-143 area towards the end of the day on low volume before bouncing into the close on high volume. AAPL ended the day down 19 cents at 143.93 and dropped 16 more cents in after-hours to 143.77.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened up lower in conjunction with Futures and and set a curious pre-market rogue low of 120.41 at 9:22. AAPL is currently down 19 cents at 143.74 as we approach the open.
