Good Morning,
S&P Futures are up 10 with +11 Fair Value, NASDAQ Futures are up 18 with +19 Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 74 as we reach another March Friday OPEX and all eyes are pouring over the hot-off-the-presses February jobs report and its rate raising implications. One way or another, today may be Bitcoin's big day as investors are on the edges of their collective seats waiting for the pending SEC decision on a Bitcoin ETF that could help Bitcoin's quest for ubiquity. Oil bounced 0.6% on Friday to trade in the mid-49 area despite concerns that an OPEC production cut may not be enough to counteract excess market supply.
This morning's Economic Calendar includes: Non-farm payrolls followed by Baker-Hughes Rig Count and Treasury Budget this afternoon.
There are no clear-cut earnings winners however Vericel Corporation (VCEL) seems likely to take this spot on the open. On the other hand, VeriFone Systems, Inc. (PAY) is down over 0.5%.
Futures were up in early morning, peaked just after 4am and are off the highs as we approach the open.
Asian markets ended mostly up. China went down 0.12%, Hong Kong went up 0.29% and Japan gained 1.48%. European markets are up. Germany is up 0.57%, France is up 0.68% and the UK is leading the advance, up 0.74%.
Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is down 1.33%, natural gas is up 1.01% and gold is down 0.42%. Unleaded gas is up 0.53% and heating oil is down 1.44%. Metals are mixed, gold and silver are down while copper and platinum are up. Meats are mixed. Cocoa and coffee are up while cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans are down.

VeriFone Systems, Inc. (PAY) reported a Q1 loss yesterday afternoon with adjusted earnings of 21 cents per share and is down over 0.5%
Vericel Corporation (VCEL) announced positive Q4 results this morning and has yet to react.
This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from Liquidmetal Technologies, Inc. (LQMT).
On Monday morning before the open, Del Taco Restaurants, Inc. (TACO) is expected to report.

AAPL bobbed on the mid-138 line yesterday, ending down 0.25% on very low volume. AAPL opened at 138.74 to high volume and got quite a sharp tug down to an intra-day low of 137.05 at 9:36am on heavy volume before bouncing back to the mid-138 area and setting an intra-day high of 138.76 at 11:20am ahead of the lunch bell on low volume. After lunch, AAPL dipped back below 138 on low volume and bounced back to the mid-138 area again on low volume. AAPL ended the day down 35 cents at 138.65 and gained 20 cents in after-hours to 138.85.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened higher in conjunction with Futures as news surfaced that AAPL short interest grew by 3.4 million shares. AAPL is currently up 58 cents at 139.26 as we approach the open.
