Apple Today 12/16/2016 OPEX (AAPL)

S&P Futures are up 4 with +5 Fair Value, NASDAQ Futures are up 10 with +9 Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 35 as we bring this historic week to a close with OPEX.
The economic calendar holds Housing Starts and Atlanta Fed's Business Inflation Expectations for this morning and Baker-Hughes Rig Count this afternoon along with Fed's Lacker speech.
The earnings winner is Jabil Circuit Inc. (JBL), up nearly 10.5% in pre-market while Oracle Corporation (ORCL) didn't fare as well and is down over 2%.

Futures were up slightly in early morning, then dipped into negative territory shortly after 3am but recovered sharply after 5:30am and are near the highs as we approach the open.
Asian markets ended mixed. China went up 0.17%, Hong Kong went down 0.18% and Japan gained 0.66%. European markets are up. The UK is up 0.15%, France is up 0.23% and Germany is leading the advance, up 0.29%.
Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is up 0.86%, natural gas is down 1.28% and gold is up 0.48%. Unleaded gas is up 0.53% and heating oil is up 0.76%. Metals are up except copper. Meats are mixed. Corn and soybeans are up while cocoa, coffee, cotton and wheat are down.
Market opens higher, Dow closes in on 20,000. US housing starts tumble from 9-year high. European stocks reach new high; dollar's post-Fed rally pauses.
Oracle Corporation (ORCL) reported Q2 results with adjusted earnings of 61 cents per share and is down over 2% in pre-market. Jabil Circuit Inc. (JBL) announced Q1 results that beat expectations and is up nearly 10.5%. Adobe Systems Incorporated (ADBE) is up over 1% after beating expectations with adjusted earnings of 90 cents per share.

AAPL had a strong day yesterday, skyrocketing up above mid-116 and ending up 0.55% on stronger than average volume. AAPL opened up at 115.23 to high volume and immediately put in an intra-day low of 115.23 on high volume before quickly shooting up above 116.5 and setting an intra-day high of 116.73 on high volume. AAPL then settled to 116 on moderate volume and struggled to recover the mid-116 area, drifting lower to 116 on mild volume and then sold off sharply to mid-115 shortly before 2pm on moderate volume. AAPL bounced back to 116 in late afternoon and ended the day up 63 cents at 115.82. AAPL gained 8 more cents in after-hours to 115.90.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened lower and dipped to a pre-market low of 115.32 at 5:01am before marching up to the mid-116 area on Piper Jaffray coverage set at Overweight and Apple granted to sell all iPhones in Indonesia, among other news. AAPL is currently up 43 cents at 116.25 as we approach the open.
