Good Morning,

S&P Futures are down 3 with +1 Fair Value, NASDAQ Futures are down 10 with flat Fair Value and Dow Futures are down 2 on this day after the much anticipated Fed announcement raising rates. Yahoo is down nearly 2.5% after it revealed another hack in 2013 that may have affected more than 1 billion accounts.

The economic calendar is going "big-league" this morning with Jobless Claims, Consumer Price Index, Empire State Mfg Survey, Consumer Comfort, Housing Market Index and Natural Gas Inventory reporting, among others, and the Fed Balance Sheet, Treasury International Capital and Money Supply is expected this afternoon.

The earnings winner is Pier 1 Imports Inc. (PIR), up over 22% in pre-market.

Futures were up in early morning hitting a peak just after 6am and then slipped into negative territory and are just off the lows as we approach the open.

Asian markets ended mostly lower. China went down 0.73%, Hong Kong dropped 1.77% and Japan went up 0.10%. European markets are up. The UK is up 0.03%, Germany is up 0.35% and France is leading the advance, up 0.63%.

Commodities are universally down this morning. Oil is down 0.96%, natural gas is down 1.27% and gold is down 2.96%. Unleaded gas is down 0.36% and heating oil is down 0.08%. Metals are down sharply, especially silver. Meats are mostly down. Cocoa, coffee, cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans are all down.

Pier 1 Imports Inc. (PIR) reported Q3 results with adjusted earnings of 22 cents per share yesterday afternoon, raising forecasts and beating expectations and is up over 22% in pre-market.

Scholastic Corporation (SCHL) announced Q2 adjusted earnings of $1.99 per share and is up slightly in pre-market. Rite Aid Corporation (RAD) reported Q3 results and is up slightly.

This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from Oracle Corporation (ORCL), Jabil Circuit Inc. (JBL) and Adobe Systems Incorporated (ADBE).

A leading bullish ADBE trade strategy is: When the 13 SMA is Above the 23 EMA AND the 10 day Stochastics is Bullish, daily bars.

AAPL had a flat Fed day yesterday, though AAPL popped above 116 in early trading it ended precisely where it started on lower than average volume. AAPL opened lower at 114.98 to high volume and immediately set an intra-day low of 114.98 on high volume before soaring up into the upper-115 area on strong volume and setting an intra-day high of 116.20 at 9:56am on strong volume. AAPL struggled to make it any higher under declining volume and slipped back below 115.5 shortly after 11am on moderate volume bouncing into the upper-115 zone on low volume and holding this area until the simultaneous Fed announcement and "tech meeting" at 2pm. AAPL briefly popped towards 116 moments after 2pm and subsequently slipped to the days lows on high volume before sharply bouncing back and forth between upper-115 and lower-115 a few times in the last 2 hours and slipping to the lows towards the close. AAPL ended the day flat at 115.19 and gained 10 cents in after-hours to 115.29.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL picked up with yesterday's close and dipped below 115, setting a pre-market low of 114.65 at 6:53am before bouncing back into the low-115 zone on Needham & Company maintaining AAPL as a Strong Buy with a 150 target. AAPL is currently up 11 cents at 115.30 as we approach the open.
