Apple Today 11/04/2016 OPEX (AAPL)

NASDAQ Futures are up 1 with flat Fair Value, S&P Futures are up 1 with flat Fair Value and Dow Futures are down 10 on this first Friday and OPEX of November with just a few days left until the 2016 election. The economic calendar has a few data paints but everyone is largely focused on the jobs report this morning, the final report until the election. The earnings calendar has a heap of companies reporting including Starbucks Corporation (SBUX), which is up nearly 1.5% in pre-market after posting mixed results and FireEye, Inc. (FEYE) which is up nearly 16.5% after posting a smaller than expected Q3 loss. Futures were up in early morning and took a flea dip after 4am but are now near flat as we approach the open.
Asian markets ended down. China went down 0.12%, Hong Kong dropped 0.18% and Japan led the decline, down 1.34%. European markets are also down. Germany is down 0.52%, France is down 0.88% and the UK is leading the decline, down 1.18%.
Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is up 0.09%, natural gas is up 0.33% and gold is down 0.15%. Unleaded gas is down 1.52% and heating oil is down 0.62%. Metals are mixed, gold and silver are down while copper and platinum are up. Meats are down. Coffee is up while cocoa, cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans are down.

Starbucks Corporation (SBUX) reported Q4 results yesterday afternoon with adjusted earnings of 54 cents per share and is up nearly 1.5% in pre-market. FireEye, Inc. (FEYE) is up nearly 16.5% after posting a smaller than expected Q3 loss. Activision Blizzard, Inc (ATVI) announced Q3 results that beat expectations but lowered guidance and is down nearly 3%. InvenSense (INVN) reported a Q2 loss and is down over 3%. Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (SWKS) announced Q4 results with adjusted earnings of $1.47 per share that beat expectations and is down nearly 1.5%. The Kraft Heinz Company (KHC) is down over 1% after posting Q3 results indicating a 1.5% dip in sales. Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (LGF) reported Q2 results with a loss and is up over 5%. Tesaro (TSRO) announced Q3 results with a loss of $1.98 per share and is down over 3%. Weight Watchers International, Inc. (WTW) reported profitable Q3 results with net income of 53 cents per share and is up nearly 7.5%. El Pollo Loco Holdings (LOCO) is down over 13.5% after missing Q3 forecasts. Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) announced Q3 results that beat expectations and is up over 3%.
Shutterstock (SSTK) reported Q3 this morning with adjusted earnings of 40 cents per share and is down nearly 2.5% in pre-market.
On Monday morning before the open, look out for earnings from ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARIA) and Horizon Pharma plc (HZNP).

Looks like AAPL needed some "life support" towards the end of yesterday, ending down 1.58% on low volume. AAPL opened at 110.96 to high volume and pulsed up to an intra-day high of 111.46 at 9:38am on strong volume before a prolonged decline throughout the rest of the morning and afternoon on low volume, breaking 110 in early afternoon on mild volume and scraping the intra-day low of 109.55 at 3:44pm on moderate volume before bouncing back slightly into the close. AAPL ended the day down 1.76 at 109.83 and dropped 18 cents in after-hours to 109.65.
This morning in pre-market AAPL opened up higher in conjunction with Futures and then sunk below 110 as Futures worsened, generally lurking around the mid-109 area but showing some signs of life towards the bell. AAPL is currently down 18 cents at 109.65 as we approach the open.
