Apple Today - 10/05/2016 (AAPL)

NASDAQ Futures are up 9 with +13 Fair Value, S&P Futures are up 5 with +5 Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 30 as we hit mid-week and quite a busy economic calendar, including jobs report and factory orders expected this morning. Futures were up slightly in early morning, then dipped at 1am, reaching a low after 2:30am then sharply recovering soon after and hitting a high later in the morning and are near the highs as we approach the open.
Asian markets ended up. China was closed for a National Day, Hong Kong gained 0.42% and Japan led the advance, up 0.50%. European markets are up. Germany is up 0.63%, France is up 0.73% and the UK is leading the advance, up 2.20%.
Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is up 1.85%, natural gas is down 1.35% and gold is up 0.43%. Unleaded gas is up 1.03% and heating oil is up 1.94%. Metals are up except platinum. Meat is mixed. Cocoa, coffee and soybeans are up while cotton, corn and wheat are down.
Businesses added a disappointing 154K jobs last month, according to ADP. ECB taper talk hits stocks, sterling plumbs 31-year low. UK services defy Brexit gloom as economy maintains growth.
Micron Technology Inc. (MU) reported a Q4 earnings loss this morning that beat expectations and is down nearly 1% in pre-market.
Global Payments Inc. (GPN) announced Q1 results with adjusted earnings of 86 cents per share, beating expectations and is up nearly 3.5% in pre-market. Monsanto Company (MON) is up slightly after reporting a Q4 loss that exceeded expectations. Constellation Brands, Inc. (STZ) announced Q2 earnings with results that beat expectations and is up over 3.5%.
This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from Yum! Brands, Inc. (YUM).
Tomorrow morning before the open, Advanced Drainage Systems (WMS) is expected to report.
Swish! AAPL swished up through 114 and then bounced in the mid-112 area, ending up 0.43% on low volume. AAPL opened up at 113 to high volume and ran up above 114 within 15 minutes on strong volume, going on to set an intra-day high of 114.31 at 9:52am on mild volume. After a slight dip into the upper-113 area on moderate volume, AAPL took another shot at 114 before slipping below 113.50 on low volume by lunchtime and below 113 in early afternoon, also on low volume. AAPL hung around the sub-113 area for a couple of hours and then dipped to an intra-day low of 112.63 at 3pm on low volume before bouncing back to 113 on low volume. AAPL ended the day up 48 cents at 113 and dropped 11 cents in after-hours to 112.89.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL pushed up into the low-113 area in conjunction with Futures and a UBS maintained buy target of $127. AAPL is currently up 34 cents at 113.34 as we approach the open.
Classic max-pain is 112.
