Apple Today - 10/04/2016 (AAPL)

NASDAQ Futures are up 6 with +11 Fair Value, S&P Futures are up 1 with flat Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 17 on this first October Tuesday with earnings season on the horizon, Google's Pixel event at noon, live stream available on YouTube, and the 2016 Vice Presidential Debate this evening. Futures were up in early morning, reached a peak at 5:30am and subsequently slipped sharply, but are still managing to tread water as we approach the open.
Asian markets ended up. China was closed for a National Day, Hong Kong gained 0.45% and Japan led the advance, up 0.83%. European markets are up strong. Germany is up 1.63%, France is up 1.15% and the UK is leading the advance, up 2.99%.
Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is down 0.74%, natural gas is down 1.09% and gold is down 0.20%. Unleaded gas is up 0.35% and heating oil is down 0.71%. Metals are down. Meat is mixed. Cocoa, cotton and corn are up while coffee, wheat and soybeans are down.

Darden Restaurants Inc (DRI) reported Q1 results this morning with adjusted income of 88 cents pershare, beating expectations and raised guidance and is up over 3.5% in pre-market.
This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from Micron Technology Inc. (MU) and NovaGold Resources, Inc (NG).
Tomorrow morning before the open, Global Payments Inc. (GPN), Monsanto Company (MON) and Constellation Brands, Inc. (STZ) are expected to report.
AAPL got a little blemished yesterday, losing 0.47% on paltry volume. AAPL opened down at 112.75 to high volume and initially made a dash up on moderate volume, stopping short of 113 in the upper-112 area and reversing sharply to the mid-112 area on mild volume. AAPL bounced back to 113, briefly seeing green and set an intra-day high of 113.05 at 10:54am on moderate volume before beginning a 4-hour slide on low volume lasting through lunchtime and into the afternoon, culminating in an intra-day low of 112.28 at 2:56pm on low volume. AAPL bounced again off the low and worked all the way back up to 112.69 at 3:45pm on mild volume. AAPL then sold off towards mid-112 into the close. AAPL ended the day down 53 cents at 112.52 and remained gained 11 cents in after-hours to 112.63.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL picked up with yesterday's close and pushed up to the upper-112 area in conjunction with Futures on low volume. AAPL later dipped to 112.30 later in the morning before bouncing back to the upper-112 area. AAPL is currently up 43 cents at 112.95 as we approach the open.
Classic max-pain is 112. Google's Pixel event is today at noon and the 2016 Vice Presidential Debate is tonight at 9pm.
