Good Morning,

NASDAQ Futures are up 14 with +24 Fair Value, S&P Futures are up 6 with +7 Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 56 as we hit mid-week and prepare for a huge flood of earnings reports arriving after the bell this afternoon and before the open tomorrow morning. Futures were down in early morning then turned green just before 2am and surged up until 5:30am before easing back a bit but are not far from the highs as we await the open.

Asian markets ended mixed. China dropped 0.29%, Hong Kong gained 0.97% and Japan fell 0.25%. European markets are up. The UK is up 0.07%, France is up 0.87% and Germany is leading the advance, up 1.29%.

Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is down 0.25%, natural gas is down 1.25% and gold is down 1.04%. Unleaded gas is down 0.73% and heating oil is up 0.40%. Metals are down. Meat is down. Coffee corn, wheat are up while cocoa, cotton and soybeans are down.

US Index Futures climb amid Microsoft, Morgan Stanley earnings. Tech earnings lift Europe shares, dollar up on Fed hike bets.

Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) reported positive Q2 earnings yesterday afternoon with strong Azure cloud results and is up over 5% in pre-market. Discover Financial Services (DFS) announced Q2 earnings with mixed results that topped earnings estimates but missed on revenue and is down over 1%. Blackhawk Network Holdings, Inc. (HAWK) posted a Q2 loss and is up nearly 5%. Cintas Corporation (CTAS) reported a Q4 earnings beat with an optimistic outlook and is up over 4%. Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (IBKR) announced a profitable Q2 and is down nearly 3%.

Morgan Stanley (MS) reported a strong Q2 that beat expectations due in part to bond trading and is up over 3% in pre-market. Halliburton Company (HAL) is flat after announcing a Q2 loss but beating earnings expectations by 6 cents. Abbott Laboratories (ABT) reported Q2 earnings that topped forecasts and is up over 2%. Tupperware Brands Corporation (TUP) announced Q2 earnings that beat expectations but showed a year over year decline and is down nearly 1%.

This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from IMAX Corporation (IMAX), Intel Corporation (INTC), American Express Company (AXP), F5 Networks, Inc. (FFIV), Mattel, Inc. (MAT), Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM), Raymond James Financial Inc. (RJF), Tractor Supply Company (TSCO), eBay Inc. (EBAY) and Del Taco Restaurants, Inc. (TACO).

Tomorrow morning, Sonoco Products Co. (SON), DISH Network Corporation (DISH), Domino's Pizza, Inc. (DPZ), Scholastic Corporation (SCHL), Unilever Plc (UL), Alaska Air Group, Inc. (ALK), Biogen Inc. (BIIB), The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (BK), The Blackstone Group L.P. (BX), Citizens Financial Group (CFG), Quest Diagnostics Incorporated (DGX), General Motors Company (GM), Southwest Airlines Co. (LUV), The Sherwin-Williams Company (SHW), The Travelers Companies, Inc. (TRV), Union Pacific Corporation (UNP) and Dunkin' Brands (DNKN) are expected to report.

AAPL bobbed along the 100 water line, ending up slightly, 0.04% on low volume. AAPL opened down at 99.50 to high volume, quickly setting an intra-day low of 99.34 before bouncing up to the upper-99 area on strong volume and then dipping towards mid-99 again. AAPL bobbed back up and went on to set an intra-day high of 100.00 at 10:26am on strong volume. AAPL then spent the rest of the morning with a dip to the mid-99 area just ahead of lunch and another bounce back to the upper-99 area where AAPL remained in a narrow range for the rest of the afternoon. AAPL ended the day up 4 cents at 99.87 and gained 3 cents in after-hours to 99.90.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened up higher in conjunction with Futures and broke above 100 mid-morning to set a pre-market high of 100.16 at 7:43am and has since been in a struggle to keep above 100. AAPL is currently up 17 cents at 100.04 as we approach the open.
