Apple Today - 7/14/2016 (AAPL)

NASDAQ Futures are up 31 with +34 Fair Value, S&P Futures are up 17 with +17 Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 151 on this Thursday busy with economic data and key earnings this afternoon. Futures were slightly up in early morning and launched up after 2am, peaked at 6am and are near the highs as we await the open.
Asian markets ended mostly up. China dropped 0.22%, Hong Kong gained 1.12% and Japan went up 0.95%. European markets are up. The UK is up 0.08%, France is up 1.08% and Germany is leading the advance, up 1.32%.
Commodities are mostly up this morning. Oil is up 1.83%, natural gas is up 0.91% and gold is down 1.27%. Unleaded gas is up 2.32% and heating oil is up 2.14%. Metals are down except copper. Meat is up. Cocoa, coffee, cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans are all up.
Sterling leaps, global stocks stall as BoE holds fire on Brexit response.
Yum! Brands, Inc. (YUM) reported Q2 earnings that beat expectations and is up nearly 4.5% in pre-market. CSX Corporation (CSX) announced Q2 earnings topping estimates and is up nearly 0.5%.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) announced Q2 earnings that beat expectations and is up nearly 2.5% in pre-market. First Republic Bank (FRC) reported a Q1 earnings beat with increased dividend and is up nearly 2%. On the other hand, Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC) reported Q2 results with mixed results and is down over 2% in pre-market. BlackRock, Inc. (BLK) reported a Q2 earnings miss and down over 0.5%. Delta Air Lines, Inc. (DAL) announced Q2 results with a revenue dip and is down over 0.5%.
This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI).
Tomorrow morning, Wells Fargo & Co. (WFC), Citigroup Inc. (C), First Horizon National Corporation (FHN), Infosys Limited, Inc. (INFY) and U.S. Bancorp (USB) are expected to report.
AAPL initially floated up before big red curtains crept in, weighing AAPL down 0.56% on very low volume. AAPL opened at 97.41 to high volume and pushed higher to set an intra-day peak of 97.67 on moderate volume before drifting down towards the lower-97 area on low volume. AAPL initially bounced off of 97 on low volume in early afternoon but struggled to get past the low-97 area and conceded down to a low of 96.84 at 3:22pm on mild volume before an uninspiring close. AAPL ended the day down 55 cents at 96.87 and dropped 7 cents in after-hours to 96.80.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened up higher in the mid-97.5 area in conjunction with Futures and hitting a pre-market peak of 97.65 at 6:06am on low volume before drifting back down to the low-97 area. AAPL is currently up 40 cents at 97.27 as we approach the open.
Classic max-pain is 96.
