Apple Today - 7/11/2016 (AAPL)

Good Morning,
Welcome back. NASDAQ Futures are up 22 with +18 Fair Value, S&P Futures are up 7 with +5 Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 68 as we oficially kick off a new earnings season. Futures were higher in early morning, peaking just before 3:30am, then dipping at 5am and later recovering most of the dip, currently up strong as we await the open.
Asian markets ended up. China gained 0.23%, Hong Kong went up 1.54% and Japan led the advance, up 3.98%. European markets are up. The UK is up 0.86%, France is up 1.36% and Germany is leading the advance, up 1.53%.
Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is down 0.66%, natural gas is up 1.32% and gold is down 0.02%. Unleaded gas is up 0.12% and heating oil is up 0.39%. Metals are mixed. Meat is mixed. Cocoa, coffee, cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans are all up.
Global stocks rise as markets anticipate stimulus.
Bank of The Ozarks Inc (OZRK) reported Q2 earnings this morning that beat expectations and is up over 4.5% in pre-market.
This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from Alcoa, Inc. (AA).
Tomorrow morning, Fastenal Company (FAST) is expected to report.
AAPL had a short but strong week last week, up 0.82% on low volume. On Monday, AAPL opened down and backtracked from 96 to the mid-94 area and recovered 95. On Tuesday, AAPL briefly dipped into the shark-filled waters below 94.5 early on but managed to triumph over the beasts and floated up to the mid-95 area. On Thursday, AAPL ran up through green fields to the mid-96 area and slipped below 96 in the afternoon. On Friday, AAPL opened up at 96.49 to moderate volume and immediately set an intra-day low of 96.05 on moderate volume before bouncing up to the upper-96 area and peaking at 96.89 9:46am on higher volume. AAPL then settled back to 96.5 and remained in a narrow range in the mid-96 area for the afternoon. AAPL ended the day up 74 cents at 96.68 and dropped 8 cents in after-hours to 96.60.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened up higher in conjunction with Futures and gravitated to 97 with an eye on the mid-97 area as Futures continue to cooperate. AAPL is currently up 52 cents at 97.20 as we approach the open.
Classic max-pain is 95.5.
