Apple Today - 6/22/2016 (AAPL)

Good Morning,

NASDAQ Futures are up 8 with +3 Fair Value, S&P Futures are up 2 with +2 Fair Value and Dow Futures are up 13 on this busy day of economic data, complete with an appearance from Yellen one day before the Brexit referendum. Futures were up earlier and took a sharp dip just after 3am, turning red and bottoming just after 4am and bouncing back up above the highest levels before settling back a little as we await the open.

Asian markets ended mixed. China gained 0.94%, Hong Kong went up 0.61% and Japan dropped 0.64%. European markets are up today. The UK is up 0.83%, Germany is up 1.08% and France is up 0.66%.

Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is up 0.44%, natural gas is down 1.08% and gold is down 0.26%. Unleaded gas is up 0.31% and heating oil is up 0.40%. Metals are mixed. Meat is down. Cocoa, coffee, corn, wheat and soybeans are up while cotton is flat.

Global stocks, sterling gain as Brexit vote nears, Yellen cools rate talk.

FedEx Corporation (FDX) reported Q4 earnings with a $70 million loss and cautious outlook and is down nearly 2% in pre-market. Adobe Systems Incorporated (ADBE) announced Q2 earnings with guidance that missed expectations and is down over 3.5%. KB Home (KBH) reported Q2 earnings that beat expectations and is up over 1%. La-Z-Boy Incorporated (LZB) announced Q4 earnings that beat expectations and is up on thin volume.

Winnebago Industries, Inc. (WGO) reported Q3 earnings that beat forecasts and is up nearly 8.5% in pre-market.

This afternoon after the bell, look out for earnings from Herman Miller, Inc. (MLHR), Red Hat, Inc. (RHT) and Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (BBBY).

Tomorrow morning, Accenture plc (ACN) and BlackBerry Ltd. (BBRY) are expected to report.

AAPL sent shorts screaming yesterday, gaining 0.85% on moderate volume. AAPL opened at 95 to high volume and immediately put in an intra-day low of 94.68 before bouncing up to the 96-area and hanging tight all day with periodic moves toward 96.5, setting a high of 96.35 at 12:30pm on low volume. AAPL dipped slightly below 96 towards the close to end up 81 cents at 95.91 and gained 45 cents in after-hours to 96.36.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened up and skipped off 96 on low volume, reaching a high of 96.70 before settling back towards mid-96. AAPL is currently up 61 cents at 96.52 as we approach the open.
