Apple Today - 5/11/2016 (AAPL)

NASDAQ Futures are down 4 with -9 Fair Value, S&P Futures are down 3 with -5 Fair Value and Dow Futures are down 34 as we hit mid-week. Futures were down earlier in the morning and dipped to a low at 4am before improving somewhat as we await the open.
Asian markets ended mixed today. China gained 0.16%, Hong Kong dropped 0.93% and Japan went up 0.08%. European markets are down today. The UK is currently down 0.19%, Germany is down 0.72% and France is down 0.86%.
Commodities are mostly up this morning. Oil is up 0.22%, natural gas is up 0.19% and gold is up 1.09%. Unleaded gas is up 0.9% and heating oil is up 1.21%. Metals are up. Meat is mixed. Cocoa, cotton, corn, wheat and soybeans are up while coffee is down.
Staples, Office Depot scrap merger deal. Vice premier says China will meet economic growth goal this year.
The Walt Disney Company (DIS) reported Q2 earnings yesterday afternoon with a disappointment in TV results and is down nearly 5.5% in pre-market. On the other hand, Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) announced Q4 earnings yesterday beating expectations and is up nearly 8.5%. Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (JAZZ) also reported Q1 earnings yesterday missing expectations and is down over 1%.
The Wendy's Company (WEN) reported Q1 earnings this morning topping expectations and is down over 0.5%.
This afternoon after the bell, look for earnings from Jack In The Box Inc. (JACK) and Weibo Corporation (WB).
Tomorrow morning, Kohl's Corporation (KSS), Vertex Energy, Inc. (VTNR) and Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation (RL) are expected to report.
AAPL ticked from up to down and back up again yesterday, ending with a gain of 0.68% on lower than average volume. AAPL opened up strong at 93.35 on heavy volume and sharply dropped to the low-92 area setting a low of 92.11 at 10:18am on relatively light volume before bouncing back up to the mid-93 area and setting a high of 93.57 at 12:02pm on moderate volume. AAPL drifted lower later in the afternoon and broke below 93 again after 2pm but bounced back into the mid-93 area into the close with a gain of 63 cents to 93.42. AAPL gave back 13 cents in after-hours to 93.29.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened lower in conjunction with Futures and has been holding onto a narrow range in the low-93 area with periodic shallow dips and spikes yet showing gradual improvement. AAPL is currently down 20 cents at 93.22 as we approach the open.
Classic max-pain is 93.5.
