Apple Today - 4/15/2016 OPEX (AAPL)

NASDAQ Futures are down 10 with -10 Fair Value, S&P Futures are down 4 with -4 Fair Value and Dow Futures are down 29 as we bring a close to this busy week and April monthly option expiration. Futures were slightly up early this morning but dropped sharply after 2:30am, continuing lower throughout the morning and are near the lows as we await the open.
Asian markets closed lower today. China dropped 0.14%, Hong Kong went down 0.10% and Japan led the decline, down 0.37%. European markets are also down today. The UK is currently down 0.47%, Germany is down 0.51% and France is leading the decline, down 0.56%.
Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is down 2.67%, natural gas is down 2.49% and gold is up 0.36%. Unleaded gas is down 2.93% and heating oil is up 2.97%. Metals are mixed. Meat is mixed. Cocoa, coffee and soybeans are up and cotton, corn and wheat are down.
Global stocks, dollar and oil cool ahead of Doha oil meeting. Empire Fed manufacturing hits 15-month high. At 6.7%, China Q1 GDP slows further.
Citigroup Inc. (C) reported Q1 earnings this morning with a 27% drop in earnings but beat expectations and is up nearly 3% in pre-market. Infosys Limited, Inc. (INFY) announced Q4 earnings that topping estimates and is currently up over 5%. Regions Financial Corporation (RF) reported Q1 earnings this morning that beat by 1 cent, exceeding forecasts and is up over 5.5% in pre-market.
Monday morning, PepsiCo Inc. (PEP) is expected to report.
After a quick splash to mid-111 AAPL bobbed along the 112 water line all day, gaining 0.05% on mild volume. AAPL opened at 111.64 to moderately high volume, peaked over 112 on heavier volume within 15 minutes and then sharply dipped below 111.5, setting an intra-day low of 111.33 at 10:15am on moderate volume before recovering within the next hour on mild volume and continuing on to lift up out of the water to 112.39 at 12:12pm on moderate volume. AAPL spent the rest of the afternoon bobbing along 112. AAPL ended the day up 6 cents at 112.1. AAPL gained an additional 10 cents in after-hours to 112.2.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened down in conjunction with Futures and spent most of the morning in the upper-111 area with lift toward 112 later in the morning. AAPL is currently down 13 cents at 111.97 as we approach the open.
