Apple Today - 3/14/2016 (AAPL)

Good Morning,
NASDAQ Futures are down 11 with -18 Fair Value, S&P Futures are down 5 with -7 Fair Value and Dow Futures are down 27 on this quiet start to a very busy week packed with economic data. Futures were down earlier this morning and briefly spiked up into the green after 4am but have since drifted even deeper into the red as we approach the open.
Asian markets rallied today. China led with a gain of 1.75%, Hong Kong ended up 1.17% and Japan was up 1.74%. European markets are also up again today. The UK is currently up 0.3%, France is up 0.46% and Germany is leading the advance, up 1.49%.
Commodities are mixed this morning. Oil is down 2.29%, natural gas is down 2.31% and gold is down 0.28%. Unleaded gas is down 1.59% and heating oil is down 2.22%. Metals are up except gold. Meat is up. Coffee, cotton and corn are up while cocoa, wheat and soybeans are down.
US index Futures decline. Market set to open slightly lower ahead of Fed meetings. Oil back below $40 as Iran dashes hopes for quick deal on output. European shares rise.
Vericel Corporation (VCEL) reported earnings this morning and is up over 1.5%. On the other hand, Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (INO) announced earnings this morning and is down nearly 1% on a greater than expected Q4 loss.
This afternoon after the bell, look for earnings from MannKind Corporation (MNKD), Jamba, Inc. (JMBA) and Rosetta Stone Inc. (RST).
Tomorrow, 3D Systems Corp. (DDD) and Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, Inc. (VRX) are expected to report.
AAPL had a fairly stable yet low-volume week, ending the week down 0.73%. AAPL started out on Monday above 102 with eyes on 103 but slipped to 101. On Tuesday, AAPL opened lower and threatened 100 but bounced back to 101. On Wednesday, AAPL dipped early morning and recovered 101 back by end of day. AAPL saw the most action on Thursday on a higher open with a 102 tag and then a selloff to the low-100 area before a bounce back to 101. On Friday, AAPL held up pretty well and ended with a daily gain of 1.08%. AAPL opened up at 102.24 to moderate volume and danced around the 102-area with a dip to 101.50 on moderate volume at 10:08am. AAPL quickly recovered 102 and then spent most of the day in the upper-101 area before regaining 102 in late afternoon and rising up to the day's high of 102.28 into the close to end the day up 1.09 at 102.26. AAPL dropped 4 cents in after-hours to 102.22.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened down in conjunction with Futures and drifted lower as Futures worsen. AAPL is currently down 36 cents at 101.9 as we approach the open.
