Apple Today - 3/02/2016 (AAPL)

NASDAQ Futures are down 5 with +1 Fair Value, S&P Futures are down 4 with -2 Fair Value and Dow Futures are down 29 as we hit mid-week of our first week of March. Futures started out in the green but took a tumble after 2am, hitting a low just before 6:30am and remaining red as we approach the open.
Asian markets followed the US market rally lead. China led the advance, up 4.26%, Hong Kong gained 3.07% and Japan closed up 4.11%. However, European markets are mixed today. The UK is currently down 0.36%, Germany is up 0.32% and France is up 0.11%.
Commodities are mostly up this morning. Oil is down 1.28%, natural gas is down 2.01% and gold is up 0.38%. Unleaded gas is up 0.87% and heating oil is up 0.46%. Metals are mostly up, except platinum. Meat is mixed. Cotton, corn and soybeans are up while cocoa, coffee and wheat are down.
Private-sector job growth accelerates to 214,000. Moody's cuts China outlook.
Ross Stores, Inc. (ROST) reported solid Q4 earnings yesterday and is currently up over 2%. Progressive Corporation (PGR) also announced earnings and is currently flat.
Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) announced Q4 earnings this morning that topped expectations and is up 8%. On the other hand, Luxottica Group S.p.A. (LUX) is down nearly 2% after announcing earnings this morning.
This afternoon after the bell, look for earnings from American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (AEO), Skullcandy (SKUL) and Weibo Corporation (WB).
Tomorrow before the bell, Adidas AG ADR (ADDYY), Barnes & Noble Inc (BKS), Burlington Stores, Inc (BURL), Ciena Corporation (CIEN), Costco Wholesale Corporation (COST), Stratasys, Inc. (SSYS) and Trina Solar Limited (TSL) are expected to report.
AAPL ran through "fields of green" yesterday, living up to Super Tuesday and ending up 3.97% for the day on just above average volume. AAPL opened at 97.65 to moderate volume, briefly hit the low of the day at 97.42 on moderate volume and then began an epic 2-hour climb to reach 100 by 12pm, later continuing on to peak at 3:02pm the afternoon at 100.77 on average volume before settling back to 100.53 by the end of the day, a gain of 3.84. AAPL gained 12 cents in after-hours to wind up at 100.65.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened up higher and tagged 101.2 on low volume at 4:17am before settling back to the mid-100 area with a low of 100.42 at 9:06am. AAPL is currently down 3 cents at 100.5 as we approach the open.
