AAPL had a relatively strong week, gaining just over 2 points and 2.15% to close the week above 96, despite threatening to testing the previous week. On Tuesday, AAPL gapped up from 94 to 95 and didn't look back, keeping the pace up consistently to get within striking distance of 97 by the end of the day. On Wednesday, AAPL kept the pace up and managed to break above 98. On Thursday, however, despite hitting prices of over 99 in pre-market, AAPL sold off rapidly, losing 98 and 97 and eventually sinking towards 96. On Friday, AAPL opened at 96 to moderate volume, then quickly briefly dipped to 95.80 on fairly light volume, then spiked to 96.76 at 11:32am on moderately low volume. AAPL then basically stayed in a narrow range from low-96 to mid-96 all day on very low volume, finishing the day down 22 cents at 96.04. AAPL saw just about as much price action in after-hours as it did all day, dropping a additional 14 cents to 95.90.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened up strong in conjunction with Futures and broke above 97 early on low volume. After 6am, AAPL began slipping and later bounced in the lower mid-96 area. AAPL is currently up 36 cents at 96.4.
