Apple Today - 1/22/2016 OPEX (AAPL)

Hallelujah! NASDAQ Futures are up 73 with +70 Fair Value, Dow Futures are up 194 on this Friday OPEX. Futures are exploding this morning, in a good and very green way, and have been gaining momentum all morning.
Asian markets rallied today. Hong Kong closed up 2.9%, China gained 1.25% and Japan led the rally up 5.88%. European markets are also rallying today. The UK is currently up 2.23%, Germany is up 2.12% and France is leading, up 3.32%.
Commodities are up this morning. Oil is up 5.22%, natural gas is up 0.05% and gold is about flat. Unleaded gas is up 3.85% and heating oil is up 6.23%. Metals are up, except gold which is flat. Meat is up. Cocoa, coffee, cotton, corn, soybeans and wheat are up.
Global stocks, oil rebound.
American Express (AXP) reported Q4 earnings yesterday afternoon with a 16% drop in profit and is currently down 5-6% in pre-market.Starbucks (SBUX) reported strong earnings but weak guidance and is currently down over 2%. E*TRADE Financial (ETFC) is also down over 4% after reporting yesterday. On the other hand, Schlumberger (SLB) is up 2-3% after posting a Q4 earnings beat and a new buyback.
General Electric (GE) reported earnings this morning and is currently down under 1%.
This afternoon after the bell, watch for a rare Friday post-market earnings report from MB Financial (MBFI). A handful of smaller companies are scheduled to report on Monday before the open.
AAPL had a "stormy" open, dropping 2 points at the open but braved the rough waters, turning green mid-day and closing the day down just 0.51%. AAPL opened at 97.12 and dropped like a stone to a low of 94.94 within 15 minutes on extremely high volume before reversing. AAPL recovered 96.5 nearly as quickly, by 10:14am on high volume. AAPL continued to rise on moderately strong volume, first above 97 and then making it into the upper-97 area, as high as 97.88 just after noon on moderate volume, in striking distance of 98 before dipping back down to 96 on moderate volume. AAPL bounced back to the mid-96 area and closed the intra-day session down 49 cents at 96.3. After-hours saw an additional gain of 15 cents to 96.45.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened up higher near 98 in conjunction with cheerful Futures and hovered around 98 most of the morning on moderate volume. After 7am and with improving Futures, AAPL pushed further up into the mid-98 area before settling back down to 98. AAPL is currently up 1.71 at 98.01.
