Apple Today - 11/12/2015 (AAPL)

Good Morning,

NASDAQ Futures are down 10 with -10 Fair Value, Dow Futures are down 70 on a full economic calendar Thursday. Futures were green earlier and have worsened a bit towards the open.

Asian markets closed mixed. China lost 0.48% while Hong Kong closed with a big 2.4% gain and Japan ended slightly up at .03%. European markets are currently lower today. UK is down about 1%, France is down over 1.3% and Germany is down 0.85%. Commodities are lower today, oil is currently down around 1.5%, natural gas is down over 0.5% and gold is down the least, nearly 0.3% in pre-market. There's a lot scheduled for today's economic calendar, including initial jobless claims, reported at 8:30am to indicate a healthy labor market, and Janet Yellen's speech at the open. This afternoon, look for earnings reports from Applied Materials (AMAT) and Cisco Systems (CSCO) as this earnings season draws to a close.

AAPL had another difficult day yesterday. AAPL opened lower again and dropped sharply within the first 20 minutes of trading on high volume. By 9:54am AAPL bottomed at 115.21 on heavy volume. After that, AAPL bounced above 116, then dipped below 115.5 before turning green and peaking all the way up to the mid-117 area at 12:30pm on moderately high volume. After lunch, AAPL struggled to hold 117 and turned red heading towards mid-116, oscillating from red to green in the upper-116 area 3 times with another attempt at 117.15 at 2:30pm on lower volume before dragging down into the close and ending the intra-day session at 116.11. AAPL dropped another 20 cents in after-hours, ending below 116 at 115.91.

This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened up slightly above yesterday's intra-day close and drifted in the low 116-area on extraordinarily low volume for most of the morning before conceding 116 at around 7:30am. AAPL has since drifted further lower and hit a pre-market low of 115.55 at 9:09am on moderate volume. AAPL is currently down 54 cents to 115.57.
