Apple Today - 10/16/2015 OPEX (AAPL)

NASDAQ Futures are up 1 with +5 Fair Value, Dow Futures are down 24. Asian markets closed up again today with China up 1.6%, Hong Kong up 0.78% and Japan up 1.08%. European markets are also in the green today. UK, Germany and France are all currently up less than 1%. Oil is up nearly 1% while gold is down about the same and natural gas is down over 1%. General Electric (GE) and Honeywell (HON) report quarterly earnings before the opening bell. GE is currently up between 1% to 2% after a generally positive report. European stock Hugo Boss (BOSS) is the latest victim of China slowdown and is down 10%.
AAPL saw a "whippy" day yesterday, launching up to 112.1 within 30 minutes of the bell on high volume before reversing and selling down as low as 110.49 on moderate volume by noontime. AAPL reversed once again in the afternoon making a break for 112 and reaching an afternoon high just under 112 at 2:20pm on high volume. Subsequently, AAPL hung around the upper 111s and closed the intra-day session at 111.86, up 1.5% for the day. After-hours continued the trend with a slow march upwards and AAPL gained another 8 cents to close the extended session at 111.94.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened higher at 111.9 on light volume picking up where after-hours left off. Within the hour, AAPL had peaked at 112.01 on low volume before it got set back down to 111.5 on low volume before a bounce at 8:20am followed by a further slide. AAPL is currently up 2 cents at 111.88.
