Apple Today - 10/08/2015 (AAPL)

NASDAQ Futures are down 18 with +15 Fair Value, Dow Futures are down 59 as this 3rd quarter earnings season officially kicks off with Alcoa (AA) after the bell. Asian markets closed mixed, the Shanghai Composite gained nearly 3%, while both the Nikkei and the Hang Seng were down almost 1%. European markets are currently in the green. Oil is up in pre-market and gold is down. US jobless claims fall to 3-month low. FOMC minutes are expected at 2pm which may clarify the Fed's plan on raising rates.
Yesterday, AAPL opened strong looking to take back 112 after an impressive, active pre-market only to drop below 109.5 by 11:28am on high volume and again at 12:42pm on lower volume with a small bounce above 110 in-between at 11:54am on moderate to high volume. AAPL spent the rest of the afternoon in recovery and regained 110.5 by mid-afternoon on moderate volume and appeared to make a grasp at 111 towards the last hour before settling for a 110.78 close. After-hours was spent in a tight range with AAPL gaining 3 cents to 110.81.
This morning in pre-market, AAPL opened at 110.24 on low volume in conjunction with Futures and has been drifting up in the mid-110 area all morning on low volume. By 8:12am, AAPL hit a high of 110.62 on moderate volume before retreating back under 110.5. AAPL is currently down 39 cents at 110.39.
Classic max-pain is 110.
